A Prayer for Rain During the Dry Season

Dear Lord,
It’s been dangerously dry here and we desperately need some rain. Lord, we pray that You will open the heavens above us and allow the rain to fall. The animals are thirsty,  the plants, especially our grass, also need their water. We are praying that You will supply those needs. We pray, Lord, that as you send forth the rain, that all needs will be met.
Lord, we ask these things, knowing you love us and hear our prayers, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.
