No matter what financial situation you face, God is with you. Money is the second most discussed subject in the Bible, and with good reason. God knew how big of a struggle it would be for us. Whether you're facing huge bills you can't afford, or just want to pray for a promotion at work, we have prayers for you.

A Desperate Prayer to Win the Lottery

Dear Lord, 

You know our every need, Lord. Now more than ever, we are praying to win this coming lottery. I know many will be asking to win as well, and Lord, you ultimately know who will. We have so many needs right now. We are so far in debt, and the bills are piling up.

So many have given to us, and we desire to pay them all back. Lord, I don’t know how we can do it without this. It would be such a blessing for our family. Having these financial burdens lifted would be so wonderful for us. Lord, I pray you will bless us with the winning numbers.

A Prayer for a New Job Opportunity

Dear Lord,

You know how I have been working towards this job for years. It’s taken so much training to get to where I am. Lord, please let my resume be what they’re looking for. Let me be a good fit for the job. The pay would certainly give me and my family more opportunities as well. So please, if it be of Your Will, I pray you will bless me today with this opportunity. May it open the doors for me to do what I really want.

A Prayer Over Unexpected Expenses

Precious Jesus,

We don’t know where to start. We didn’t expect to have so many costs all at once, and now Lord, it’s affecting our ability to pay this month’s mortgage. Lord, you know our every need, and you know what is needed. We pray and ask, in Jesus’ Name, that in some way, these costs can be lowered. Help us take control of our finances, and recover from these unexpected expenses.

A Prayer to Help Calm Spouse’s Spending

Dear Lord,

It’s been so difficult lately making ends meet. Lord, even with our combined income, I am struggling to pay our mortgage and car payments. I need your help before we fall behind on our bills.

Lord, I have tried to discuss our debt with my spouse, but many times, it’s out of frustration and anger. They spend so much on things we don’t need. I know the way I approach these discussions isn’t helping the situation.

Speak through me, with love, to explain to my spouse how serious our financial burden is. Help us communicate and get through these issues together.

I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer For Paying Off School Loans

Lord,

Ever since I started college, I have an overwhelming number of bills, that I can’t possibly pay off. Lord, all of my school work, exams, and studying, makes it hard to work enough to pay my school loans off. At this rate, it will take years and years to pay off these loans. Lord, I know I needed this education for my future. How else can I get a good job? How else could I provide for myself or a family down the road? I am praying for help, show me how to overcome this mountain of debt.

A Prayer to Get Into a Good College

Dear God,

You know how hard I’ve worked through high school. It’s not always been easy, and you know where I’ve struggled and how I’ve leaned on you. Now, with graduation nearing, I pray you open another door for me.

My parents have always said how important getting a good education is. I ask that you guide me to the right college, and that they’ll accept me.

In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!
