A Prayer for Every Christian
We are the Body of Christ and as such, we are called to come together in community. Prayers about community are prayers about togetherness. When we say "community" we don't just mean Christians though. We mean prayers for our city, our President, teachers, the homeless, firefighters, law enforcement and everything in between.
Dear Lord,
We come before you to pray for our president. We pray that you will give him the wisdom to do what is right for this nation. May he appoint leaders who love and respect you, Lord. May the legislation he supports align with your will for this country. We pray that every decision he makes for this Nation, will go before your throne first.
Lord, we ask these things in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Dear Lord,
We thank you for each of these precious children. As we start the day, we pray you’ll come into this classroom and create an environment where the children are happy and excited to learn. Help the boys and girls behave in a manner that honors you and shows respect to their classmates. And Lord, use me as their teacher, to teach the lessons in a way that they’ll enjoy. We ask for a wonderful day of learning.
We ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dearest Lord Jesus,
As we watch the fireworks tonight, may we remember how truly blessed we are to live in a nation where we can serve and worship you. Our freedom was a costly one, and we are grateful for those who died so long ago to give it to us. May you bless those who have served, and are currently serving in the armed forces, who fight to maintain that freedom. Bless the leaders of this nation, guide them in every decision they make. May the actions of those leading our country honor you, and glorify your kingdom.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Today, we come to you and ask for your hedge of
divine protection over every member of this church. Lord, we know that
we are living during a time, where our church could be a target of the enemy’s. Send your mighty, warring and guardian angels to stand watch over each person here. We ask that you continue to give this church a boldness for you. Use us to build your kingdom, despite the enemy! May each of us serve you and bring many more souls into your glorious Kingdom.

Dear Lord,
I pray for myself, and for the men and women around me, who are feeling the stress and anxiety of being so far from home. It’s hard being out here, in a different country, away from our families. Lord, you know the reason we’re here. You know the dangers we face. Give us guidance, so that we may see the potential dangers and avoid them. Give us strength and courage, for you are with us always, Lord.
