A Prayer for Every Christian
Dear Lord,
We come before you to pray for our president. We pray that you will give him the wisdom to do what is right for this nation. May he appoint leaders who love and respect you, Lord. May the legislation he supports align with your will for this country. We pray that every decision he makes for this Nation, will go before your throne first.
Lord, we ask these things in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Dear Lord,
We pray that as we open your Word today, you will give us wisdom and knowledge, so that we may understand and absorb your Word. Give us a deeper understanding of your heart through the words in this Book. May it encourage and empower us. Help us use what we learn from your Word for the glory of the Father.
We pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
King Solomon was a man of great wisdom and knowledge. You gave him the ability to rule over your people. Today, Lord, we come to you in prayer, and pray that you will give us the wisdom, knowledge and tools needed to continue to serve You, by serving others. For when we give unto the least of these, we give it unto You.
In the name of Jesus we pray – Amen.
The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

Heavenly Father,
Your Word is so precious to us. It gives life to those who read it. As we spend time with you today in your Word, we pray that you will continue to reveal the mysteries of events that have taken place thousands of years ago. Allow us to see it as it was back then. Father, we ask that you open our minds so we can understand the true meaning of each and every verse. Imprint them upon our minds and hearts forever.
