A Prayer of Gratitude for Our Nation on the Fourth of July

Dearest Lord Jesus,

As we watch the fireworks tonight, may we remember how truly blessed we are to live in a nation where we can serve and worship you. Our freedom was a costly one, and we are grateful for those who died so long ago to give it to us. May you bless those who have served, and are currently serving in the armed forces, who fight to maintain that freedom. Bless the leaders of this nation, guide them in every decision they make. May the actions of those leading our country honor you, and glorify your kingdom.

In Christ Jesus, I pray, Amen.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

A Celebration of the Fourth of July

Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for this day, and for the chance to gather here and celebrate this Fourth of July. As we celebrate today, we ask that you watch over us. Keep us, and those around us, safe while we enjoy the fireworks this evening. Let it be a wonderful time together to celebrate our freedom!

A Prayer of Remembrance on the Fourth of July

Dear Heavenly Father,
Today, on the Fourth of July, we remember those who died to give each and every American their freedom. Lord, we pray that while many of us are celebrating today, we remember why we get to celebrate. We ask that every person throughout this nation, be reminded of the struggles and sacrifice that those who came before us endured to give us our freedom. Thank you Lord, for allowing us to live in a country where we have the freedom to love and worship you openly. We thank you and praise you for this day and everyday!
