About Praybase
Praybase aims to be the world’s largest, most thorough database of prayers for Protestant Christians. We want to make it easy to share the prayers we’ve said for others online. Additionally, we want to offer prayers for those who feel they don’t have the words to express their heart to God, or just want to see how others pray.
One thing that always seems to mess with new believers is praying, especially out loud and in public. Praybase offers an intimate look into the different styles people use when praying, and helps people, who aren’t used to praying, to find the words.
It’s no secret, God knows your heart, and no matter what prayer you say, God will understand what you want and mean, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have examples if you’re unsure. That’s what we’re here for.
How Do I Use Praybase?
It’s very simple: Find a Prayer, Pray the Prayer, Share the Prayer.
Step 1: Find a Prayer
Use any of the search forms throughout our site (such as the big prayer search box on the homepage) to find a prayer relevant to what needs prayer. We spend a lot of time ensuring the most relevant prayers come up when you search.
Step 2: Pray the Prayer
Whatever your prayer style may be, say the prayer to God. Whether it be quietly in your head on a bus ride to work, or praying it out loud in your prayer closet. Say the prayer and add anything you want to it for the situation.
Step 3: Share the Prayer
Send a link for the prayer to the person you prayed for. People ask for prayers all the time. They ask on Facebook, they ask on Twitter, and they ask by email. When you say a prayer for them, respond to their message with a link to the prayer you said. God knows all things, no question about it, but by posting a link to the prayer that you’ve said for the person, you do two things:
- You let the person know directly that someone prayed for them.
- You provide a way for others who want to pray for that person an easy way to find your prayer and say the same one, or find another that might also apply.
